MY Plumbing Depot is a proudly New Zealand-owned and operated company with a strong commitment to supporting our local communities. Established in 1999 by Frits and Nanette Mann, our roots run deep in the plumbing industry, backed by decades of hands-on experience, passion, and innovation.

What began as a local plumbing business has grown into a trusted name, known for exceptional customer service, deep product knowledge, and a genuine focus on helping customers—whether you're a homeowner, tradie, DIYer, builder, or designer.

 

Our Story


Frits, a former Steam Engineer in the Royal Dutch Navy, immigrated to New Zealand in 1973, where he worked in a variety of roles in the plumbing sector, including time at A & T Burts and Zip Trading. Nanette brought a strong background in banking and over 10 years’ experience as a bathroom consultant. Together, they combined their strengths to create MY Plumbing Depot—a one-stop plumbing shop with a customer-first philosophy.

Since then, we've expanded and evolved:

  • 2004: Opened a second branch in Feilding
  • 2010: Expanded to Richmond, Nelson
  • 2018: Sold Richmond branch and returned focus to Whanganui
  • 2019: Jason Mann, Frits’ eldest son, joined the business
  • 2023: Relocated to our new, custom-renovated premises at 14 Purnell Street, Whanganui
  • The Feilding Branch is now independently owned and operated by Wayne and Alison Short, who continue to uphold the MY Plumbing Depot values and maintain strong ties with the Whanganui team, especially through shared buying power and collaboration 

Today, Jason manages the Whanganui branch, while the Feilding branch continues to thrive under Wayne and Alison Short. Though separately operated, both branches maintain a close partnership and shared values.
